This is not the post I was intending to write, but, for now it's what I need to share.
Sometimes we need to just be quiet and listen in silence. There is much wisdom to be had in silence. Our immediate struggles and confusion can be solved in silence.
It's said that we have the answers inside of us, already. All we need to do is get still, quiet and out of our own way.
Confusion comes even when you are on the right track. It happens. We could be doing too much. We get so excited and want to keep going when we should stop, take a break, but we don't. We keep going until our mind plays tricks on us and then we get off course. For course correction, get quiet. Find peace and listen to that still small voice that will lead you back.
I did that. I was on a roll. I had a ton of great ideas and then... I crashed. Trying to do it all at once. And I know about time management. I know about the rule of putting first things first. I know about priorities. But, it got away from me. I had a several great ideas in a short period of time and I ran with it. So, This week I have slowed down, re-set my schedule to do things right. Stay in my lane and do the exercises to accomplish my goals. I actually fell asleep nearly in mid writing earlier and I knew, it's time to get re-focused. Manage my days better. Manage my intentions.
I learned several years ago that the silence works. At first I thought it was a waste of time when I should be working to solve my problems. It was in that silence that I was able to solve them and work smarter. A learned discipline I treasure. And that is where it is today, right now.
Sitting in the silence preparing for a better tomorrow.Sometimes when we are in a slump, what we need is silence.
